RSTC
CREATIVE MOVEMENT

The actor must be aware of his body, how it moves, displays emotion, creates tension and character and more importantly must understand how to make it work for oneself. In exploring the actors body we work though a series of exercises and dance exploration to encourage physical freedom for the actor, so the body begins to work in the way the actor needs it to work, allowing the actor total, flexibility, freedom, expression and control.

ACTING

The Stanislavski system or "method" as it is sometimes called is at the heart of all R.S.T.C actor training, as are, improvisation skills, text, mime, theatre games and acting technique. Workshops and rehearsals draw from methods of theatre practitioners and directors from across the world and theatre history. Exploring them practically enables the actor to create believable characters for both stage and screen.

VOICE

The voice and how to use it correctly is fundamental to any actor training. These workshops explore how to use the voice correctly. We teach techniques to strengthen vocally, increase breath capacity and support, while working “the tip of the tongue, the teeth and the lips”, so you can take control, understand and free the voice, so it can be used to its full potential within performance situations. We also explore the singing voice, how to hold a tune, singing both as an individual and within a group.
